Integration: Integration Platform as a Service (iPaaS), will provide easier means of integrating various existing ITSM  or IT Monitoring or IT Task Management tools to Zapoj  IT Event Management . Zapoj will utilize Build.io (iPaaS) via Embed option, so that Zapoj IT Event Management users can easily (using click drag) integrate their existing tools described above. Each Service can have multiple integrations. 

Alerts: Alerts are the messages generated from Monitoring Tools for a specific Service . Alerts can be classified based on their severity (Critical , Error , Warning , Info) .  

IT incident: IT incident is an unexpected IT event that disrupts business operational processes or reduces the quality of service.Every Incident must belong to a Specific defined ITIL Service. Incidents can be created manually by the Incident Management Team Operator or by ITSM or Monitoring tools (via iPaaS) .

IT Alerts: IT Alerts are the consolidated and automated alerts that emanate from mission-critical systems. IT alerting also focuses on communicating these alerts to incident responders.

IT incident Analytics: IT incident analytics is a structured report of data to assess what happened, how and why it happened, and what can be done to reduce the risk of recurrence through lessons learned.

IT event Integration: IT event integrations refer to the synthesis of different automation platforms with a central event management software. For example, integrating a monitoring platform with an event software would be considered an event integration.

Every organization have their own IT assets, At Zapoj we termed IT assets as a IT processes it may represent a piece of software, or a server, or a cluster of servers.

Every organization will have IT processes like HRMS, supply chain management, CRM, E-commerce management, Security management, Backup and recovery management, or their own software system.

Each IT process will have multiple IT services as a micro service, for example HRMS processes will have Recruitment service, onboarding service, employee scheduling and payroll services etc.

Each IT service consists of lots of monitoring information related to their databases, code, and hosting servers, organizations will use different monitoring tools, to monitor this information.

At Zapoj for each monitoring tool of IT service, we will create one integration.

After creating the integration, we will get a unique integration URL, which can be integrated with any of the monitoring tool, which can able to accept the webhook connectivity.

After integration with the monitoring tool, any IT alert or incident happened in the monitoring tool, we will get the entire incident information to Zapoj.

Based on incident information, we can write some rulesets, if ruleset matches with the incident, then immediately you will receive the push notifications via voice call, SMS, and email.

Incidents will be launched based on the shift roaster, whoever is in the current shift they will receive the push notifications, that to incident initially will reach to all primary contacts added in the shift, if no primary contact is not acknowledged then immediately incident will go to secondary contacts, if no one secondary contact is not acknowledged then immediately incident will go to escalation contacts.

You can easily track the reports and analytics about each incident like when an incident is launched, who received it, when acknowledged, and when the incident gets closed like that you will get lots of analytical information.

1) Login to site24*7 account and click on Admin → Third Party Integrations

2) Click on “Integrate Now” at Webhooks, it will open the below page

3) Create the site24*7 integration from zsuite application by clicking on create integration under IT service page

4) Click on site24*7 integration to copy the integration URL

5) Fill the site24*7 webhook form with the below details 

  1. Give any Name at integration name
  2. Paste the copied integration URL into site24*7 Hook URL 
  3. HTTP method should be POST 
  4. Select Post as JSON checkbox 
  5. select Send custom Parameters and give {mode : “alert” } 
  6. Accessibility select Global 
  7. Choose basic authentication method 
  8. At integration Levels you can choose already configured monitors or Tags or select all monitors, if you choose all monitors then the same integration URL will hit for all monitors 
  9. Choose your priority for trigger alerts for monitor status change

6) Click on save and Test the webhook form 

7) To Test whether integration successfully added or not, go to IT service page under zsuite application, click on “Create Rule Set” button

8) Under Integration select box, select site 24*7 and click on “Show recent Payload” button, you will see the json object at right side

9) While creating the Alerts under Admin → App Logs → Alerts, you can choose the third party integration to call, so whenever this alert triggered, it will send the information to zsuite application also

10) And also while adding any Monitor from Admin → Inventory → Add Monitor, at the end of the form you can choose which third party integration should be associated with the monitor

11) Need to add rule conditions based on the json object receiving from the site24*7, the sample json object will be like below

12) Once the rule conditions are matched, if any alerts generated at site24*7, you will receive the notifications as voice call, SMS and emails
